Steve Cormick Clinic
Service Description
In this clinic Steve will be explaining the rules, penalties and manoeuvre scores for Versatility Ranch Horse (VRH) under both Associations (AQHA / RHAA). You will learn how to ride some of the VRH patterns and to know what judges are looking for to improve your score. Discussion will be included about approved tack , saddles, and western attire you are allowed to use when showing VRH. You will gain an understanding of what class level/s you and your horse would be able to show in VRH at a show . This clinic will be suitable for riders looking to gain a better insight into the sport who are already able to walk , trot and lope (and potentially able to perform an extension of those 3 gaits). Whilst the lope is not mandatory and just trot is OK, riders should have a good handle on their horses for this clinic as it's not a Horsemanship Clinic, it's an introduction to Ranch Showing and gaining an understanding of the various rules etc . There will be a few easy Ranch patterns that riders will be riding on the day. Hours will be 9am to 4pm with a break for lunch 12 to 1 pm. Tea and coffee provided all day. Please bring your own lunch (or Whittlesea is a 6 minute drive away).
